Local tech support for your home and business.

Get help with your computers, accounts, internet connection, and the technology your business depends on. I'm Albert LaScola, owner of Bulwark Black.

You may know this work as Rural Tech and Support, the local support brand of Bulwark Black LLC. Those services are now brought together here, with the same person doing the work.

Homes and small businesses

What I can help with.

Computers, devices, and accounts

Set up a new computer, move files and accounts, resolve email problems, and get practical help with everyday technology. Password managers, recovery options, and account security are part of keeping things usable.

Wi-Fi and networking

Troubleshoot connection problems, review routers and access points, connect equipment, and plan links between buildings. We check the setup you have and agree what needs changing before buying hardware.

Starlink and hardware installation

Starlink hardware installation, setup, and connection to your network. We scope the equipment, placement, mounting, and cable-routing requirements for your property before the work begins.

Small-business IT and security

Device setup, network assessments, account hardening, data migrations, and backups with restore checks. Written instructions help your team understand the setup and what to do when something needs attention.

From the first call

Understand it. Fix it. Test it.

We start with the problem and your existing setup, choose remote help or an on-site visit, and agree the scope. After the work, we test the result together and go over the instructions and next steps.

My own projects include connecting buildings on my property with fiber and supporting my family's devices and network. Read the property fiber walkthroughor see more of my work.

FAQ

Before we get started.

  • Do you help households as well as businesses?+
Yes. I help individuals, families, small offices, shops, and rural operators. A single device or account problem is a reasonable place to start.
  • Can this be handled remotely?+
Some account, software, and configuration work can be handled remotely across the United States. Equipment installation and physical network work need a visit. Tell me the problem and your location so we can choose the right approach.
  • How do you price a job?+
We review the problem, existing equipment, and location before agreeing on a scope and price. Hardware, subscriptions, and any travel requirements are identified before work begins.
  • What should I include when I ask for help?+
Describe what is happening, the devices or services involved, and where you need help. For a business, mention how many people or devices are affected. Do not send passwords or access codes in the contact form.
